Що нового
Нові функції, покращення та виправлення: пишемо про них, щойно вони виходять.
RandomWheel now speaks Ukrainian
- The whole site is now in Ukrainian, our 18th language: every wheel, the ready-made wheels and the team generator.
- The question generator has 1,460 questions written for Ukrainian speakers, not translated from English.
Swipe through questions
- On a phone, swipe the question card to the side for the next one, or the other way to go back. Previous now reaches the very first card too.
Bigger clay wheels
- Globe, Chores 2, Big Nose, Dachshund and Cat now fill the screen on desktop like every other theme, instead of sitting a size smaller.
- The country wheel wears the Globe travel frame for everyone.
A random question generator
- New at /questions: draw a random question from 45 packs, one tab per audience. For class there are warm-ups, exit tickets, grammar talk by tense, speaking practice at A2, B1 and B2, science and history what-ifs and more; for everyone else icebreakers, most likely to, first dates, retros and more. Nothing repeats until the deck runs out.
- Add your own questions, or sign in and let AI write ten on any topic in your language. Who answers picks a person for every question, and everyone gets a turn before anyone goes twice.
Six new themes, and a lot more celebrations
- New themes: Globe, Globe bold, Chores 2, Big Nose, Dachshund and Cat, each with its own clay wheel frame, page background and colours. Any of their frames can go around any wheel from Customize > Appearance.
- Celebrations are their own setting now, with more than twenty to choose from: fireworks, cannons, ribbons, bubbles, hearts, snow, the Matrix, a flying cat, and a Random one that surprises you every spin.
- Spooky, Gaming and Light rays add a full screen effect behind the winner popup, on any theme.
Your images on the wheel
- Images you add to a slice now show on the wheel as round badges, like the portraits on the Brawl Stars wheel.
- Want the image to stay a surprise until the winner pops up? Turn it off in Customize.
- Names now line up near the edge of the wheel in a bigger font, so long names fit without being cut.
Team names that sound local
- Every team name set now has 24 names, and 20 colours, so bigger classes and pairs still get real names.
- Names are picked for each language: tortillas and arepas in Spanish food, brigadeiros in Portuguese, kappa and tengu in Japanese Halloween.
Team generator fixes
- Saved classes are safe: saving a second class, opening a shared link or importing a wheel never replaces one, and each class keeps its own stars and rules.
- The wheel draw shows the teams filling up beside it, Order numbers the teams in a random turn order with one click, and the projector view fits a whole class without covering anyone.
- Curated wheels keep their theme background when you reach them from another wheel.
- When absences or the class list change after a split, the board marks who is off and Adjust teams fixes it without moving anyone else.
A team generator for the classroom
- Paste your class and split it into fair teams at /teams. Keep two people together or apart, star the ones to spread out, mark absences, save the class for next week.
- Split instantly or spin names into their teams on the projector. Roles, a spin for who goes first, and a random country or topic per team.
- Share as a link, image, CSV or QR code, or open a projector view. A shared split made with numbers now reopens ready to split or spin again.
Share it, stream it
- The wheel loads faster: the spin engine is now built in, so two old library files are gone from every page. Labels are sharper on phone screens, and recording a share video can no longer interrupt a spin on the page.
- Pages are lighter, about half the bytes on a first visit: the sounds and icons are half the size, and two libraries are gone.
- Paste a wheel link into WhatsApp, Twitter or Facebook and the preview shows that wheel, in its own colours, instead of the generic card.
- Brawl Stars, Pokemon and the other curated wheels now have OBS stream links, and the streamers page shows a live wheel over a mock stream.
- The Categories page is a calm list: thirteen topics with their wheel counts, and the curated wheels beside them.
Wheels in Notion, Canva and your own site
- Paste a wheel link into Notion or Canva and it becomes a wheel people can spin. No code.
- Embedded wheels keep the look you built, at any size, with an optional title and a still or slowly turning wheel. The Embed page has steps for Notion, Canva, Google Sites, WordPress and more.
Pokemon in your language, smoother videos
- All 1,025 Pokemon use their real names in French, German, Japanese, Korean and Chinese, and types read in six more languages.
- Spin videos are twice as smooth and look like the wheel they came from.
A Valorant wheel, and proof the wheel is fair
- A Valorant wheel: all 29 agents by role, the 13 maps and every weapon.
- We ran 46 million spins through the code that picks your winner and published the results. Run the test yourself at /randomness-audit.
Your wheel, on your own website
- Embed any public wheel on your site, blog or class page: copy one snippet from the new Embed page and paste it.
- After you save a wheel, a "Your wheel is live" card gives you copy link, share and embed in one tap.
- A small vote card on the homepage: tell us which theme and feature you want next.
See your themes
- The theme picker shows real miniatures: your own wheel in each theme.
- The Pokemon wheel now starts with all 1,025 Pokemon. Pick a generation with the buttons.
Speaks your language, everywhere
- Error messages now show up in your language, in all 17 locales, and Arabic support improved.
- Local flavor: the What to Eat wheel and the homepage starter serve Pho in Vietnamese, Paella in Spanish, Karaage in Japanese, and more.
- My Wheels grew up: search, sort and delete your wheels from the grid.
Casino nights
- New Casino theme: felt-green table, marquee-lights frame, jackpot sounds.
- Upload your own center image: your logo or photo becomes the wheel hub.
Xin chào & สวัสดี
- Vietnamese and Thai join the family: RandomWheel now speaks 17 languages.
Better browsing and sharing
- Browse is simpler: two sorts, Popular and Newest.
- Spin videos now render before your eyes, with a download button next to share.
- Category pages redesigned with hand-crafted clay illustrations.
Gotta spin them all
- New Pokemon Type wheel preset.
Make it yours
- The Customize panel leveled up: 24 slice palettes, themed frames, center badges, page fonts and backgrounds.
- Themed center pointers: a pizza slice for Food, a pie wedge for Thanksgiving, and friends.
Curated wheels arrive
- Ready-to-spin presets: Brawl Stars, Genshin Impact, Pokemon, 197 countries with flags, Yes or No, What to Eat, and Truth or Dare.
- Streaming mode: a presenter view plus a transparent browser source for OBS.
Lights, camera, spin
- Record any spin as a vertical video ready for TikTok, Reels or Shorts.
Better on your phone
- The mobile editor became a full-screen panel with proper keyboard handling.
Find your wheel
- New category pages to explore public wheels by topic.
- Popular wheels rise to the top: spins now count.
RandomWheel goes global
- The site learned 15 languages, from Spanish to Arabic.
- A results panel keeps track of your past spins.
Wheels with brains
- Describe your wheel and AI fills in the options.
- Weighted options: make some slices more likely than others.
- Copy any public wheel and make it yours.
A fresh start: RandomWheel
- WheelCarnival rebuilt from the ground up (work started in January 2025) on randomwheel.com, a domain bought back in 2022: new design, playful themes with sounds and confetti, images and YouTube videos on slices, and fair spins with a cryptographically secure RNG.
- All existing wheels and accounts came along for the ride.
Keeping it clean
- Wheel moderation arrives: public wheels are reviewed before they show up for everyone.
RouletteCarnival becomes WheelCarnival
- After a year, the site is rewritten in Gridsome and renamed WheelCarnival.
RouletteCarnival is born
- The original site launches: create a wheel, spin it, save it, share it.
